The class rooms need new screens for porjectors. Have you seen Mrs Johnson's room?
ReplyDeleteThe classes also need space. It feels crowded in most of mine. Especially in the art rooms, we use so many materials, and have so many people in the same room, at the same time doing different stuff that it's crowded to be in there at the same time. I'd also appreciate it if you didn't have to walk through the drafting room to get to photography.
I vote NO chalk boards!
ReplyDeleteI agree! New projectors and screens. You really need to check out the student made, white, taped together, screen in Mrs. Willumeit's room! There should be a bathroom close to all rooms, so that students do not have to be out of the classroom for long periods of time. Also, more area is needed to display work in each classroom. I vote for no individual desks, but large tables (10 per room-3 to a table) so as to encourage group co-operation and promote a collaborative classroom environment! Every class room needs to have its own storage area for teachers supplies as well as access to a Dept storage area for shared items, such as books.
ReplyDeletei find the florescent lighting really hard on the eyes. the mirrored baffles or some other way of having adequate lighting yet not eye-straining light should be incorporated into designs. also, natural light should be included as much as possible. light tunnels to interior hallways, big windows etc.
ReplyDeletei think that we need BIGGER class rooms, one of my class is i the extra little room in the staff room, there is NO room in there. i would like to be in a real class room and not a storage room!
ReplyDeleteFrench SHOULDNT be held in the little storage room in the teacher's staff room. We should be able to access all our classes from the hallway and not having to walk outside (freezing cold portables) or through other classes (Drafting room into photography).
ReplyDeleteThe class rooms need more space. And instead of chalk boards have white boards or those new smart board systems.
ReplyDeleteHow about small offices attached to each classroom or shared between classrooms. This would provide a place for teachers to keep their work and other stuff as well a private area for teachers to meet with parents/students/staff etc.
